Floral Mania

For the ultimate decorative statement, turn to the power of the flower.

The rise of flowers in wedding styling has certainly reached new heights of late, with groundbreaking floral displays becoming the primary decorating focus in many receptions and ceremonies. We've seen dramatic floral archways, breathtaking suspended screens, quirky centrepieces and a whole range of unique ideas which have us starry-eyed and oh-so inspired. So if you're searching for a twist on tradition, look no further than some of our recent favourite floral ideas.

A Touch of Whimsy
This centrepiece by Stem Design incorporates small terrariums, cylindrical vases and a totally unexpected coupling of leafy foliage, ferns and florals. The arrangement is completely whimsical, yet still has a modern feel.

Colour Explosion
These photographs from the wedding of Steph and Mitch by Milque Photography are like a treasure trove of floral inspiration. A bright and playful moss and floral runner decorates the bridal table, whilst an insanely gorgeous suspended masterpiece of pink, green and yellow florals hangs above. The seating chart was styled with the same finesse, moss and a rainbow of colours adorning its edges.

Unexpected Beauty
Jess from Pollen Florist teamed roses, proteas, leucadendrons and privet berry to create this striking table centrepiece. The deep, moody pink of the foliage is lifted by the softer pinks of the florals and crisp green berries - a modern floral display which plays with texture and a stylish colour palette.

Glorious Greenery
Stem Design's extravagant floral chandelier, which unfortunately didn't make our cover, was an absolutely breathtaking display of modern floral design. Based on the shape of a chandelier pendant, Nicole Cooper incorporated dense greenery and flawless white florals to achieve a fairytale result.
