STYLING DETAILS
A backdrop of draped white fabric accented by aqua and peach highlights was complemented by chandeliers with fresh floral detail. The natural stone table (supplied at location) was highlighted with crystal Napoleon chairs to reflect the scenery of the river. Glass featured heavily in the table décor from beaded charger plates and spherical baubles with fresh florals, to cut-crystal vases and bowls and Royal Doulton crystal hurricanes. Aqua linen napkins provided the perfect base for the custom menus whilst lending a punch of colour. A wall of coordinating coloured ribbons provided the perfect setting in the pre-dinner drink area where glass and silver detailed decanters sat on satin-clothed dry bars. FLOWERS
Baby’s breath and million star bouquets are so on-trend at the moment – it’s the masses of tiny little blooms that make a statement. They are sweet like lace, soft and very romantic, yet bold and full of impact (like any mass bloom when styled alone). These were used with roses and hypericum on the tables.
Posy bouquets look just divine in nothing but baby’s breath as they make a statement on their own without too much fuss ... finish them off with a nice big feature ribbon to add a little drama. For the bouquet I designed a mix of beautiful orange-toned roses (large and mini blooms), highlighted with red hypericum berries and a touch of mini succulents – finished off in a straight bind of teal satin ribbon. HAIR & MAKEUP
The base for both the bride (Ashleigh) and bridesmaid (Zarah) was airbrush foundation for a naturally flawless finish. Ashleigh’s make-up focus was on the lips in Napoleon DéVine Goddess lipstick ‘Olympia’ – bright and fresh just like spring. Eyes were defined with eyeliner and finished with false lashes to make them pop. Hair was side flowing soft curls to complement the draped one-shoulder gown. Zarah’s look was soft and fresh. STATIONERY
Cara from Invitation Station says ... “aqua and peach detail on soft white stationery featured a scalloped drop on all elements. I kept the invitations simple with round edges and tied with a guest name belly-band. Placecards were layers of peach topped with a white card featuring scalloped edges. Ribbons and tags attached to flower-filled glass baubles served double duty as decoration and bomboniere.”
