A: Can we ever! Have you visited beautiful Bribie Island lately? Gatsby Fever
On the 30th May at Palace Cinemas in Brisbane's FortitudeValley, the clink of Champagne glasses, rustle of feather boas and gentle tinkering of strands of pearls could be heard amongst the excited chatter of a crowd who had gathered for a very different kind of movie event. The Great Gatsby, the year's most anticipated film, was to be played for the first time in the river city, and just as it had around the globe, it was going to go off with a bang.

Renowned bridal designer Pina Fiorenza was invited to present a 1920s-inspired bridal runway show, complete with a glamorous red carpet, many of the movie-goers getting into the Gatsby spirit by donning their own 1920s attire. Just like Baz Luhrmann's epic spectacle, the gowns embodied art deco glamour in a fresh and modern way; slinky satin dresses, plunging necklines and Daisy-esque head pieces were offset by modern structure and textural details. Well done Pina!

It’s all in the details ...
Hen’s and buck’s nights often involve plenty of cameras - make sure you organise online folders for file sharing!

Celebrate ‘Rio Style’
Channel a little Latin fever for your hen's or buck's night (or both) at Brazilian Touch Theatre Restaurant. Like a mini Brazilian Carnival in the heart of Brisbane, you won't find another venue quite like this one.Their authentic Brazilian-style service, entertainment and delicious cuisine is an experience and a half – and we hear that dancing the night away is a great way to de-stress before the big day too!

Heritage Grandeur
It’s all about style at the United Service Club. Immerse yourself in the elegance of their 120-year-old building, adorned with high ceilings, grand chandeliers, sweeping staircases and exquisite stained glass windows. With award- winning cuisine and fine dining wait staff, their private Club offers an unsurpassed backdrop of Edwardian elegance.

Q: i’m looking for something different for my hen’s day. any ideas?
A: Try a wine tour! Leaving from Brisbane,WinedownTours can be your 'designated driver', taking care of everything for you with full day tours and overnight packages available.

Name Change a Game Changer?
Are you planning on changing your name after the big I do? An annual survey has revealed that modern Australian brides tend to be more traditional than their mothers when it comes to taking their husband's name, with 94% choosing this option.

According to Easy Name Change, who conducted the survey for the third year in a row, we're not loving the double barrelled names either with just 4% of respondents choosing a joint name. More than half respondents agreed that changing their name "reflected their achievement in getting married" with other motivating factors including wanting the whole family to have the same name, making a sign of commitment to the new family, and "tradition and ritual'.

Celebrity Tip
Stress less was the mantra of recent newlywed Jennifer Hawkins who gave WHO magazine an insight into her no-fuss approach to her wedding to Jake Wall. "The only thing that was really important after that (her dress) was the entertainment, the music, and the guest list and where people sat ... I just wanted to see the faces of everyone I love and not be stressed. When you're stressed I think everything becomes a blur". Awww, thanks Jen.

It’s all in the details ...
Have a bridesmaid keep a small pair of scissors handy on your big day - the most versatile wedding tool ever.

Squeaky Clean
After 36 years in the diamond industry, family-run jewellery manufacturer Xennox would have more than their share of hints, tricks and advice on keeping your diamond sparkling. Here they share their top five cleaning tips sure to keep your rock shining bright for decades to come.
1. Use near boiling water
2. Add a small amount of detergent
3. Use an old toothbrush to clean around diamonds
4. Time to soak
5. Avoid using hand cream while your rings are on

A Winning Pitch
You could definitely say Jonathan Krywicki doesn't have a 'run-of-the-mill' job. Creator and owner of Pitch & Woo, a boutique business specialising in the coordination of jaw- dropping proposals, Jonathan's days are filled with romance, intricate planning and a whole lot of nervous Blokes. Australia's 'I Do Guy' shares his top pieces of advice for someone planning to pop the big question.
Expectations – Take your time to really understand your partner’s expectations. The worst thing you can do is propose in a way that really doesn’t resonate with her.
Ideas – Don’t settle for copying someone else, being cliché, or worse still, doing something boring. Take this opportunity to really come up with something that will demonstrate your love and commitment to her.
Ring – You either know what she wants because she told you or you don’t (my advice is don’t guess). Play it safe if you’re unsure and get her the diamond only. You can then design the ring together — it's quite a fun process.

Right Hand Man
The ability to plan a wedding in less than a week? We weren’t too sure when we first heard Tenille Gregory’s claim that her new book The Wedding Checklist could accomplish such a feat. But after reading over the numerous lists, tips and handy explanations, we can confirm this one’s an absolute gem. The Wedding Checklist is packed with all the guidance you could ever want or need concerning your wedding; from selecting your bridal party through to choosing your menu, this book has even the most minute details covered.

Subtle oriental touches feature throughout the interior decor as well as the carefully compiled menu of luxurious treatments, which includes a full selection of therapies for the boys. I received the eforea Signature Full Body Repair, a heavenly 90-minute treatment which is a part of their ‘Essentials Journey’, focussed on results-driven, advanced technology. It began with a zingy herbal tea in the light and bright relaxation lounge, before I was led into my treatment room. The heavenly smelling salt scrub, divine full body massage, facial massage and eye treatment were clearly designed with the upmost care and attention to detail, the treatment flowing seamlessly from one moment to the next. The facial massage was an absolute standout – I was reduced to goose bumps within a second of my therapist’s expert touch. Post-treatment, I was left to shower and freshen up in the ladies washroom, which thoughtfully included all the girly essentials – luxe shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer, deodorant and fluffy towels. I swanned out of the spa in a giddy haze; my baby-smooth skin confirmed that eforea’s promise of ‘emerging brighter’ was right on target.
