With ‘Romantic Red Roses’ as their theme Michelle Wright and English-born Scott Cole celebrated a memorable and fun ‘I do’. Many of the assembled family and friends travelled from the UK for the happy occasion and we hear it was quite the party!
Aren't they absolutely gorgeous!

The proposal:
Scott had planned to propose to me down at Mermaid beach, unfortunately it rained as we got down there so we headed back to our unit and he proposed to me right there in our living room. It was really special as it was where we moved into after coming back from living in London. Also to add to the surprise he proposed on Christmas morning 2009 and I had no idea! Such a lovely surprise!!
Styling details:
We went with a classy but simple theme. Our centerpieces were fish bowls on a mirror with floating candles, rose petals and tea lights!. We had lanterns hanging from the roof which had LED lights in them so at night they all lit up and they looked amazing. The room looked fantastic with our Red and Silver colour scheme with all the white linen and candles.
Funniest Moment:
The Best Mans Speech. He had put together an A-Z photo slideshow all about Scott! My family and our friends all learnt new things about Scott that they never knew about! The groomsmen did a sweep stake during dinner where all the guest paid $2 to guess how long the speech would go for. Who ever guessed the closest time won the loot!!! Extremely funny and everyone couldn't stop talking about how good it was!!
Special Memory:
The Ceremony!!! We both said our own written vows to each other and they meant everything to us to say how we both feel about each other in front of all our family and friends! We then afterwards we released some butterflies! It was a beautiful moment and all the kids loved it!!
Special thanks:
Thanks to our bridal party for helping us to keep stress free leading up to and on the day!! Thanks to all our family and friends that helped us to celebrate and an extra special thanks to my Auntie Rhonda who helped us in so many ways we couldn't of done it without you!
Advice for other brides-to-be:
Stay calm and be extremely organised. I found keeping a wedding book with all my information and contacts helped. I used a Wedding Workbook which I got from a Queensland Brides Magazine. This is a check list that had tasks to be completed starting at 12 months prior to the wedding date right up to the day before. This helped me to keep on track and on a time line that was easy to follow around my busy work schedule. Also keep a tab on all your spending, so you don't over spend above your budget!!!
