To continue our Vintage Elegance them, we thought we'd share with you an absolutely stunning real life wedding. Dylan Stoker and Chloe Jones were married in November of last year in beautiful vintage style.
How Dylan and Chloe Met We met for the first time at Press Club in Brisbane in August 2009 after a few quiet cocktails. I mentioned that I was going to Europe for a holiday by myself that Christmas, and by the end of the night Dylan was declaring that he was going to follow me to Paris and we would drink champagne under the Eiffel Tower. He did follow me, and we fell in-love in Paris.
Proposal
Dylan took me for a lovely champagne breakfast over looking Lake Baroon in Maleny. He was acting really strange all morning and kept asking me if I loved him. Half way through our picnic, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and to grow old with him, and of course I said YES!

What Made Our Wedding Uniquely 'Ours'
Our music and our beautiful guests. We only played old classics by Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, etc which just completed the 'vintage' feel to our special day. And all of our beautiful friends and family just made our day so special and truly 'ours'.
Special Memory
The entire day was filled with special memories, however I think the most special part was when we saw each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle to my future husband.
Funniest Moment
Our first dance. We had private dance lessons to prepare ourselves for our bridal waltz, and we did really well at our rehearsals. On the big day we completely and utterly messed it up and it was hilarious!
Special Thanks
A special thanks to my amazing father who is no longer with us. Originally Dylan and I were to be married in May 2013, however my Dad suddenly fell very ill in June 2012. We decided to move our wedding right forward to July so that he could be there on our special day, and we literally had 2 weeks to plan our entire wedding.
Sadly Dad passed away the day before we were to be married, which left us all absolutely devastated. So we changed the date once again to November and everything was perfect, except that my Dad wasn't there. I tied his ring around my bouquet so that he could still walk me down the aisle and be by my side all day.
We also dedicated our second dance to him and all of our guests joined us on the dance floor to honour him. We all danced to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole, which was the song that Dad had originally picked out for us to have our Father-Daughter dance too. Needless to say, there were many tears, but it was such a special moment for us on our big day.
Advice / Comments
Just relax and enjoy! Things will go wrong, it wouldn't be a wedding if they didn't! So just laugh it off, focus on what really matters and enjoy every moment! It really will be the best day of your life!
