Eat and drink pink!

Here we are at the end of week of perfect pink prettiness. Too many 'p's for you? Too bad! Complete the pink theme with your food, drinks and cake.

Cake
Too much pink might be a little much for your guests' eyes. Ask your cake designer to adorn your tasty creation with sugar flowers, or consider a single pink layer? Less is more!

Lolly Tables
Pink and lollies seem to pair well. Why? We don't know. But we do enjoy chomping on a pink sweet! The key to this look is delicate glass jars, cute signs, and of course, pink treats!

Pink Drink, Drink Pink
Pink glasses, cups, straws, or even a signature cocktail will put the pink into your drink.

Pretty In Pink

In some cultures, it is believed that if the bride gets married in pink their spirits will sink. We are here to put this myth to rest. Did you know that 27 per cent of 18 to 24 year old brides choose those rosier hues for their bridesmaids? Pastel pink dresses seems to be a popular choice influenced by celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel, but those hot pink shades look just as glamourous.

Pink has always been a good complimentary colour for a white wedding gown. The colour is connected with a fairy tale and is an easy match with all flowers and decorations. Pink gives a warm harmonious and romantic atmosphere, perfect for the occasion.

Pink is flattering for most skin tones and the colour also compliments different body shapes. Whether you decide to have matching gowns or variations among your bridesmaids, this is a colour all your girls will agree on.

Think Pink!

Do you think pink? This week we are as well. Look out for a whole bunch of pink inspired wedding ideas. To get us started here are some pink themed decor ideas to help you make a fun, bold statement.

Bouncing balloons
If you want excitement, subtly or style to go with any theme, night or day, balloons are your safest choice. With little preparation needed, cost effective and easy to store, it creates a joyful atmosphere that everyone will love.

Bright Bunting
For a softer and more retro decor idea, think bunting. It's a very easy DIY and looks great.

Pink pretties
Pink is perhaps one of the most popular choices for wedding flowers. This suits us just fine as they look stunning. Mix bolder hues with pastel pinks in simple vases for a beautiful display.

Get signing!
We love the latest trend of having cute little signs scatttered around your ceremony and reception. Perfect for table numbers and menus - and announcing lolly buffets!

Perfect Pair: Pink and Gold

Looking for some inspired styling? Why not try out this perfect palette?

PINK & GOLD
Play modern vintage elements against glamorous accent pieces in a palette of pink and gold glitter. Stylist Judi Blinco of vintage furniture and props hire company Little Gray Station knows how to bring old and new together.

STYLING DETAILS
I wanted to create detailed but easy- on-the-eye areas that can be replicated at a real wedding. Vintage French doors and shutters as the bridal table backdrop are a statement, softened by glamorous handmade gold paper flowers. Vintage vessels were set off beautifully by a gold sequinned runner.

The cake display featured beautifully detailed cupcakes and an elegant two-tier gold foil cake together with stationery tags. Other stationery included guest names and table numbers on drinking straws; menus; invitations; sweets tags; guest name tags and more. Judi Blinco, Little Gray Station.

PINK & GOLD
HOW CAN I WORK THESE IDEAS INTO MY WEDDING?
Do not be scared to experiment with colour. Start with two strong colours and one neutral colour and add bursts of complementing colours throughout your wedding. If you like the idea and look of mixing vintage décor with modern glam as we have done here, select areas in your wedding that are a focal point such as the cake/dessert table; guest book table or gift table to display a little modern-vintage. Judi Blinco, Little Gray Station.
